Practice

STUDIO JU—SIN is an architectural research group based in Seoul and London founded in Sep 2023.

We believe architecture is a framework that accommodates the essence of human life, where the building affects how people inhabit and live. The understanding on this interrelationship between space and life is the key ingredient of our design.

Our process is developed through conversations with clients, collaborators, and the team, during which we sketch ideas on paper and create physical models in a collaborative setting. We view the constraints identified during these discussions as opportunities to define a core concept for the project.

Our approaches pursue environmentally, economically and socially sustainable architecture, where the building is designed to be open-ended with a long-life, accommodating the changing diverse uses over time. Our interventions to the physical and ecological context, existing neighbours and users are judged carefully to ensure sustainable and respectful long-term engagement.
